Product objective

The BadgerNet Spine Neonatal is designed to replace the currently existing Neonatal XML Import interface. It will provide a standardised FHIR API, which will accept FHIR bundles and these will be converted to BadgerNet Neonatal Daily Summary notes.

Deliverables:

• October 2025 - Enable access to FHIR API for Neonatal Client systems

• September 2026 - conversion of FHIR data in BadgerNet Neonatal to BadgerNet Neonatal Daily Summary notes

Note: As aforementioned, the BadgerNet Neonatal Spine is designed to replace the current Neonatal XML Import interface. We will announce further timelines for the retirement after further progression of the BadgerNet Neonatal Spine, and will ensure that any date confirmed for retiring the XML import schema provides ample time for clients to integrate to the BadgerNet Neonatal Spine. Aspirationally, System C wishes to retire the XML Import interface in December 2026. However, this is a flexible date and System C encourages any concerns to be sent to the email address at the cover of this Implementation Guide.

Out of scope

• Data conversion for data points outside of the Neonatal Import XML Schema.

• Conversion and reading of full EPR notes that fall outside of the Neonatal Import XML Schema
