For BadgerNet Neonatal record, these two resources used together to information about Blood, CSF, and Urine Culture sampling and result recording.

Specimen resource

Use to populate the “Sepsis Screen” input form in BadgerNet record:

Use [specimen.type] element to indicate type of sample taken. Expected types as follows:

• Blood culture - BLD or BLDA

• CSF culture - CSF

• Urine - UR

• Secretions - SECRE

• Swab - SKN (Skin) TBC

Any other code would save to “Other”

DiagnosticResult resource

Used to extract the pathogens result values from the associated specimen taken.
